2021 EcoLawn Highlights: Growing, Gaining, and Giving Back!
It has been a busy year for EcoLawn, and although it was anything but ordinary, the team is grateful for the opportunities we had to learn and grow. We wanted to take this opportunity to reflect on 2021 and share some noteworthy highlights.
Awards and Praises
2021 was a successful year for EcoLawn, and we were honored to be recognized with three unique awards. The Santa Barbra Independent Readers Poll awarded us the “2021 Best Landscaper” title, which was special given the votes are from our community. EcoLawn also took home two accolades from the Santa Barbara Contractors Association Construction Awards. We won both “New Kid on the Block – Landscape & Hardscape” and the “Members Choice Project” for the Modern Oasis on the Riviera project. We also now have more than 40, 5-star reviews on Yelp and over 70, 5-star reviews on Google. We are so grateful for the praise and recognition we’ve received from our community.
Expanding Our Team and Office Space
The EcoLawn team has grown this year and now has 22 full-time employees. We also increased our office space with a new repurposed built-out shipping container. We are grateful for a year of expansions and looking forward to helping our team expand their capabilities.
Our Largest Turf Job to Date is Complete!
This year, the team finished our largest turf installation to date – a 12,000 sqft lawn, including a built-in volleyball court in Montecito. The amount of water this transformation will save is astounding, all without sacrificing beauty and design. The above photo is a sneak peek, but stay tuned for the final professional photos!
Giving Back to the Planet
EcoLawn is proud to partner with ForestNation and American Forests to offset our carbon footprint. In 2021, we did that by planting one tree for every 10 sq ft of turf installed. It is important to our team that we give back, and we are grateful to work with these organizations on this behalf.
Giving Back to the Community
Not only did we want to give back to the planet, but the team also wanted to make sure we gave back to our community as well. In July, EcoLawn had the privilege of donating a grass installation to the Santa Barbara Museum of Art – Children’s Education Center. We were happy to create a more ecologically sound and comfortable space for the children. This new lawn requires very little maintenance, and we are proud to bring life back to the property.
Looking Ahead to 2022
The EcoLawn Team is excited for the year ahead, and we are happy to announce we are adding maintenance to our services. This addition came about organically. It makes sense that we care for the projects we know inherently, from the design to installation and now to ongoing service.
