Project Spotlight: Northridge
The Santa Ynez Mountains and the Pacific Ocean are some of Santa Barbara’s best treasures. EcoLawn recently had the privilege of completing a new installation on Northridge Road, overlooking our city. Providing a lush landscape, the project conserves water while enhancing the property’s natural beauty and gorgeous views.
A Mediterranean Oasis
Northridge is a Mediterranean residence that incorporates organic tones and textures throughout the architecture. Wrapping around the home are three outdoor areas with space to enjoy the temperate climate. Our task was to replace the lawns with water-wise turf while complementing the home’s exterior style and perimeter plantings.
The Installation
The team worked in two phases and installed over 1,300 square feet throughout the property. With sage and brown hues, the specialized turf color creates a realistic effect that blends with the surrounding landscape of lavender, rosemary, and bougainvillea. The installation provides a lush garden that ties the landscape together, conserves water, and lasts for over 20 years – no maintenance required.
